Sabrina López
Hi, I am Sabrina, a person with a vocation for community building. I enjoy working with others and getting to know new realities and perspectives. I feel a strong commitment to transforming those situations that seem unfair or that could be improved, having focused particularly on the areas of health and education. I dedicate myself to projects that seek social impact and advocate for collective solutions, understanding that my view is only one of those that exist, and surely others have a lot from which I can learn. More voices not only achieve better results, but it is also an ethical imperative.
Throughout my academic career, I have been interested in programming and data analysis. Towards the end of my PhD in Biology (Neuroscience), I became involved in health data management and public health.
I am currently a fellow at the Climate Sensitive Infectious Disease Network (CSIDNet). This is a network that seeks to connect the global community working on software tools and field initiatives around climate-sensitive infectious diseases. My project consists of catalyzing a regional community of practice that includes different profiles and facilitates transdisciplinary collaborations.
Hola, soy Sabrina, una persona con vocación por la construcción de comunidades. Disfruto trabajando con otras personas y conociendo nuevas realidades y perspectivas. Siento un fuerte compromiso con la transformación de aquellas situaciones que me parecen injustas o que podrían mejorarse, centrándome especialmente en las áreas de salud y educación. Me dedico a proyectos que buscan el impacto social mediante soluciones colectivas, entendiendo que mi punto de vista es solo uno de los muchos que existen y que, sin duda, hay otros de los que puedo aprender. Contar con más voces no solo permite obtener mejores resultados, sino que también es un imperativo ético.
Actualmente soy becaria de la Red de Enfermedades Infecciosas Sensibles al Clima (CSIDNet, por las siglas en inglés de Climate Sensitive Infectious Disease Network). Se trata de una red que busca conectar a la comunidad global que trabaja en herramientas de software e iniciativas de campo en torno a las enfermedades infecciosas sensibles al clima. Mi proyecto consiste en catalizar una comunidad de práctica regional que incluya diferentes perfiles y facilite las colaboraciones transdisciplinarias.
